To reimagine Citizen Activism and Community Engagement, the full Social Innovation processes, and the bridging Leadership required. To combine unique local understanding for contextual challenges and solutions - with cutting edge research. Embed social innovation in research and research in social innovation. Unlocking a new generation of demystified science that powers Capacity Building and Advocacy beyond borders. To depart from and celebrate the insights of communities - discovering synergies, symbiosis and cross pollinations around the globe. Unlocking hurdles no single perspective or paradigm ever could.
AMBITION
BACKGROUND
We have conducted multinational and transdisciplinary Hackathons in Sweden, Facilitated cross sectorial Stakeholder Labs in Benin, met Social Innovators in South Africa and Midwife Communities in the Amazon. We have crafted Leadership and Communication models for Women in Health Empowerment and Citizen Outreach Programs backed by the European Institute for Innovation & Technology in Health, hosted by Karolinska Institute. We've been ill and we've been well, and now stand ready for our biggest challenge and thus opportunity yet:
NEXT STEP
To build a Global Learning Exchange Amplification that provides an enabling environment for social innovation and research to interact in a blend of physical and virtual spaces. Encouraging the co-creation of glocal innovation - anchored in local communities and scaled through global partner ecosystems. All together with SIHI, the Social Innovation in Health Initiative, supported by TDR and as such Unisef, UNDP, World Bank and WHO - with the mission to unlock the capacity residing within the actors of the health system to advance social innovation.
