The Guardian Boardroom – a transdisciplinary future prototype brings together Swedish and international actors – presenting an exploratory exhibition on biointelligent futures and new ways of making decisions. Explore, Evoke, Evolve takes you on a journey from today’s linear value chains to circular and regenerative systems.
THE PROJECT: THE GUARDIAN BOARDROOM
reimagines the forestry/bio industry, shifting from an extractive shareholder-driven value chain towards a regenerative stakeholder-led value system. This immersive project explores how current and emerging actors can adapt, thrive, and build resilience in a world shaped by climate change, geopolitical instability, and evolving ecosystem-based governance models.

The project develops prototypes that visualize possible futures; provoke reactions, engage and inspire innovation and change.
THE SCENARIO
THEME: Ekosystemen styr beslutsfattandet
Vi lyckas hålla oss inom de planetära gränserna, stora förändringar inom skogsvärdekedjan
VISION: Sverige blir den första biointelligenta nationen, där en djup förståelse för ekosystemens intelligenta utformning präglar beslutsfattande i värdekedjan. Biointelligens avser integrationen av biologisk kunskap som inspiration i samhällsbyggande och ekonomiska system. Det är förståelsen om ekosystemens intelligenta samverkan mellan organismer, svampnätverk under jorden och näring i det cirkulära kretsloppet.
IMPACT ON SOCIETY: Vändpunkten till att gå mot den biointelligenta nationen, kom efter att Sverige fått känna av stora konsekvenser av klimatförändringarna med flera år av okontrollerbara bränder, värmeböljor och översvämningar. Det rubbade rutiner inom skogsvärdekedjan, tydliggjorde ekonomiska risker som inte tagits höjd för och konsekvenser för samhället. En stark normförändring kom efter att två rättsprocesser gick i mål: samebefolkningen som vill försvara naturens rättigheter och unga som stämt staten för bristande klimatpolitik och hänsyn till biologisk mångfald. Fallen blev prejudicerande och tvingade fram en ny syn på kompetens inom biointelligens. Kan människor med djup förståelse för naturens system hjälpa oss att förebygga kriser? Kompetensen biointelligens blir eftertraktad, där urbefolkning, biodataanalytiker och ekologer anställs på innovationsavdelningar, investeringsbolag, universitet och inom politiken.
