Only Join the Citizen Stake Stock if you are looking to drive development in the same direction, through the methods of innovation and working that we are suggesting, and share the same set of values and code of conduct :)

STEERING DOCUMENT OVERVIEW:

  1. WHY: The Mission Statement; Describing the Purpose of the DAO.

  2. HOW: The Governance Model; Describing how we intend to work and why.

  3. VALUES: Code of Conduct: Describing how we commit to act towards each other to create the safe and vibrant environment we believe will foster the dialogues, decision and development that we want to drive this endeavor based on.

  1. WHY: MISSION STATEMENT

The Purpose of The Citizen Stake Stock is:

To align the incentives, enabling anyone (with a wifi connection) the opportunity to Earn from reversing climate change, leveraging the combination of 1. the ancient practice of coming together and pooling resources with 2. modern, innovative decentralized technology (e.g, DAOs and DeFi vehicles), and 3. the actual physical, environmental (e.g. water, energy, and agricultural) systems required to reverse climate change - in a transparent and inclusive manner.

The Citizen Stake Stock (CSS) enables you to "play & learn to learn" (meaning you don’t need to have a single dollar on your account today to get started), vote on and invest in DeFi amplified environmental systems that is designed to generate net positive social, financial and environmental value in a decentralized and crowdsourced way with good returns (estimated average 10% per year). A micro Universal Basic Income (UBI) - or passive income, depending on how you’d like to frame it :)

A financial vehicle for change built by people for people.

  1. HOW: The Governance Model

How we intend to work and why:

  • DAO Core Team:

  • Develop, Suggest (to the DAO members) and Execute on Effective Strategies, Technologies, and Modes of Communication to fulfill the CSS DAOs vision, supporting the DAO can function effectively - enabling investments, voting, management and allocation of assets/resources.

  • CSS DAO Members:

  • Vote on Strategies, the choice of Financial Vehicle and Regenerative Systems, suggested by the DAO Core Team.

  • The DAO members can also suggest financial vehicles and regenerative systems, as long as they align with the Steering Documents and Qualification Criterias to the Core Team

  • Major updates in the steering documents needs to be approved (not having a majority of the DAO members actively voting against) by the DAO Members.

  • CSS Regenerative Systems & Specific DAOs:

  • Vote and decide on the optimization of the context specific regenerative system

  • VOTING Principles:

  • In case of strategic questions (eg. the release of new investment opportunities): The option with the most vote will be pursued.

  • In case of choice of regenerative system, as long as there's enough resources, several regenerative systems can be invested in (the people voting for a specific system collectively have enough funds required to invest in it)

  • To be effective with DAO Members time and GAS fees, voting is planned to occur on a quarterly basis, being prepared through Virtual Bonfire Meetups and Discord conversations. Voting can be postponed if the Core Team has no new strategies or systems to suggest.

  • Regenerative Systems are chosen based on how well they fulfill the CSS Qualification criteria. Systems with similar scores are chosen based on CSS DAO member votes. If 2 systems have gotten the same amount of votes and similar scores, investment will be made in both Systems if adequate resources, if not adequate resources a second vote will be issued.

  • The Specific Regen system DAO have autonomy when it comes to decision making on how the specific regenerative system is developed (no one outside of the context can meddle with the development of it) (DAO’s within DAO’s).

RISK MANAGEMENT:

Considering the Purpose of the Citizen Stake Stock, we aim to balance and manage risk in a health and transparent way. This means:

  • DeFi Investment Opportunities will be qualified based on historical performance, requiring:

  • A minimum of 10% yearly ROI

  • Monthly recurring revenue

  • Active and growing community

  • Tried and tested tech

  • A Y% YoY growth

  • Have a clear strategy to go carbon neutral, if not neutral already

  • Share our values, showed by addressing any questions raised openly and transparently.

  • Regenerative System Investment Opportunities will be qualified based on:

  • Carbon offsetting per dollar

  • Agreeing to Fair Trade Principles of Good working conditions, etc.

  • For established systems: Proven Net Positive ROI Surplus shared with investors

  • For new systems: Estimated Net Positive ROI Surplus shared with investors

  • Investment & Payout Rounds:

  • Always having at least 1 investment option open - and closing it on at least a quarterly, preferably monthly basis: to mitigate risks of missed ROI.

  • Having Payouts 1 per year, and in between transparently sharing the progress: To avoid short term, suboptimizing transaction, enabling a more stable development of value creation.

  • Show the historical track record of the assets, to enable each DAO member and investor to choose level of investment based on their personal risk preferences.

  • Payouts and Fees are proportional to investment

  • The Steering Documents are created with the purpose to risk mitigate and manage, with especial attention to ensuring that the DAO can continue to operate in accordance to its purpose, balancing both direct democracy by the DAO Members, with the proactive and ongoing work of the DAO core team, suggesting Strategic, Financial and Regenerative Opportunities for the DAO members to vote on. The fact that each member’s has equal worth and weight, regardless of amount invested, lessens risk of a few big investors deciding the course of development - instead ensuring that the broader diversity is represented.

  1. VALUES: CODE OF CONDUCT

How we commit to act towards each other

Let’s keep The Citizen Stake Stock a safe and vibrant space where bold ideas and courageous collaborations can blossom. To ensure that, these principles guide how we interact and support each other:

We are a non-religious, non-political, regenerative decentralized autonomous organization, with the purpose to both align incentives for anyone to invest in and earn from reversing climate change - and to ensure key resources and means stay within the development of the physical regenerative systems.

We know that impact is multiplied by diversity. So we welcome brilliant minds and passionate hearts from different fields and backgrounds together. The MAD Community respects that we all have different views on religion, politics and whatnot. To enable a space where everyone feels safe to engage, we focus on identifying and supporting effective climate change reversing and resilient regenerative systems (i.e. leave other opinions and all toxic comments out of this space). Any violation to the Code of Conduct will lead to suspension from the DAO Voting Capacity and exit from the Investment. Investment will be liquidated at the market value at the time of the next possible exit.

Broader and deeper conversations that can inspire the development of the CSS DAO will take place in Quarterly Bonfires. Actual decisions will be prepared and suggested by the DAO Team.

Each member has equal worth and weight, regardless of amount invested, enabling the broader diversity to be represented.

The DAO will report financial and environmental progress in accordance to following metrics on a Monthly Basis and be available for support and conversations around them - and onboarding of new members on a least monthly basis, and when possible and needed, on a bi-weekly basis.

Financial Metric:

  • DeFi vehicle monthly ROI

  • Regenerative System ROI (when it is up and running, producing a surplus)

Environmental Metrics:

  • Carbon offset

  • Other…

Further Matrices may be developed and suggested. Before being incorporated into the DAOs progress report, they need to be approved (majority not voting against) by the DAO Members.

INCENTIVE MODEL: SUGGESTED NUMBERS, NOT FINALIZED (further incentive models might also be added)

  • Share of Surplus from the DeFi Vehicle (payed out on a yearly basis)

  • CSS Member: 45%

  • DAO Team 10%

  • Regen System: 45%

  • Share of Net Positive Surplus (post the needed reinvestments into the regenerative system has been payed to ensure sustainable development) from the Regenerative Systems.

  • CSS Member: 30%

  • DAO Team: 10%

  • Regen System: 60%
